Magneto-inductive sensor, MDS

Inside the sensor, a change in permeability which is detected by a sensor coil is affected due to a magnet on the Measurement object . The change in permeability is linear proportional to the movement direction of the magnet, whereby its scale is smaller than the scale of movement. Depending on the strength of the magnetic field, a measurement from a larger distance may also be possible.

MDS is the abbreviation for “Magnetic Displacement Sensors”.
